My husband got us a subscription to the Wall Street Journal, and is also an avid bike rider.  Both of these items combined into the perfect storm when the WSJ wrote several glowing pieces on the beauty and art culture of Marfa at the same time a challenging bike ride scheduled a date in the area.  Off we trucked to far southwest Texas where we had an amazing week discovering all the different landscapes in such a ruggedly beautiful area.  I knew we couldn't put all the pictures up, so I combined our favorite textures, mountains and plateaus into this mixed media piece that shows the 4 different types of landscapes contained in one magical place.
